Settings: Preferences

Purpose

The Preferences section is where you make your dashboard truly yours.  It’s your personal control center giving you the power to decide what appears (and what doesn’t) on your board.

From team rollouts to  performance metrics like velocity, you’re in the driver’s seat.  Want a cleaner board? Turn things off. Want full visibility? Turn everything on. Preferences let you tailor your experience for focus, clarity, and flow.

Business Case

As a user, you can use Preferences to easily turn dashboard features on or off image (128).png controlling exactly what’s visible on your board.

With just a few toggles, you can:

  •  Show or hide key metrics like Velocity.

  •  Enable or disable the Overall Performance Team Rollout Filter.

  • Personalize your dashboard view based on what you want to focus on most.

These settings give you full control over your workspace, making your board flexible enough for a high-level executive review or a daily tactical sync whatever fits your style of work.

When you click Manage Preference Settings, you’ll see a panel of toggles that let you customize what appears on your dashboard. 

Each switch controls a different feature or visualization in your Business Outcomes view.

  • ON: The feature is visible and active on your board.

  • OFF: The feature is hidden, giving you a cleaner workspace.

These simple switches help you create a dashboard that fits the way you like to work clear, clean, and fully customizable. 

To Manage Preferences

  1. Go to Business Outcomes Settings ⚙️

    • From your dashboard, open Settings and click Preferences.

  2. Click “Manage Preference Settings.”

    • This opens your Preferences workspace.

  3. Toggle Preferences On or Off 

    • Review the list of available preferences (like Velocity, Cross-Contribution, or Team Rollout Filter) and turn them on or off depending on what you want visible.

  4. Preview the Changes 

    • Once toggled, your dashboard will instantly update to reflect your chosen view.

  5. Save Your Preferences 

    • Your settings will remain active for your user account, so your dashboard always looks and feels the way you like it.

The Preferences feature is your personal dashboard designer. It empowers you to choose how you work best whether you love data-rich dashboards full of metrics or prefer a minimalist view that highlights only what matters most.
