Execution Calculation Overview
The Outputs / Projects Tab reflects execution progress by calculating completion across initiatives, projects, milestones, and stories, while also highlighting risks and obstacles that may impact delivery.
Formula Structure
Project Progress
= Progress entered or calculated at the individual project level
Initiative Progress
= Average / rolled-up progress of all related projects
Strategic Outcome Impact
= Initiative Progress + Project Progress contribution toward the overall Strategic Outcome score

Risks / Obstacles
= Total count of items by status
Examples:
- In Progress
- Completed
- Open / Not Started
These do not calculate as a percentage of progress, but instead provide visibility into issues that may affect execution.
Simple Formula View
Overall Initiative Progress
= Sum of related project progress ÷ Total number of projects
Overall Project Progress
= Sum of milestone/story/project completion values ÷ Total number of items
Risks / Obstacles
= Count of risks and obstacles by current status
Summary
Execution progress flows upward from stories and milestones into projects, then into initiatives, which ultimately contribute to the progress of the Strategic Outcome. Risks and obstacles do not directly calculate progress, but they provide important context by showing where delivery may be blocked or delayed.
